The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday night, extending the Eagles' losing streak to five games. The result keeps the Cowboys competitive in the NFC East standings while the host team continues to slide down the division table.

Dak Prescott completed 212 yards of passing and threw three touchdown passes. Two of those scores went to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Running back Javonte Williams rushed for a career-high 155 yards and a touchdown. The Cowboys finished with 204 total rushing yards, marking the first time a Dallas player has surpassed 150 rushing yards since Ezekiel Elliott in 2018.

The Eagles are now 2-5 for the season. This is their longest losing streak since 2016. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the year due to blood clots in his lungs. Backup Tanner McKee started at quarterback for the second straight week. McKee completed 23 of 35 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

The Cowboys took a 28-21 lead late in the third quarter. Lamb caught a 16-yard pass from Prescott in the corner of the end zone. Prescott then ran in for the two-point conversion. Brandon Aubrey kicked field goals of 55, 27, and 24 yards. Williams added a two-yard rushing touchdown to seal the victory.

Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown intercepted a McKee pass late in the fourth quarter. The pick occurred after the Eagles had a potential victory within reach. Overshown returned to the field for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1. He raised the ball in celebration after making the play.

Coach Brian Schottenheimer praised Williams' performance. He said the power and acceleration were present and that Williams looked great. Prescott noted the importance of winning a division game on the road in a hostile environment before the team's two-week break.

The Eagles' season has struggled without Hurts. The team is 3-6 when Hurts has not started since he became the primary quarterback in 2021. Saquon Barkley returned to the lineup after missing the last two-plus games with a hamstring injury. He rushed for 62 yards on seven carries. Barkley also spent time in the sideline medical tent for both his hamstring and back.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame during halftime. Lurie purchased the franchise in May 1994. The team has won two Super Bowls under his ownership. Former players Brian Dawkins and Donovan McNabb stood beside him during the ceremony. Lurie gave a brief speech but did not hold a pregame news conference.

The Cowboys host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Eagles will play at the Washington Commanders on Sunday night in a matchup between two struggling NFC East teams.
